Colquitt County, the top ranked team in Georgia, went into its game on Halloween night wanting to make a statement, and it was received loud and clear.  The Packers faced off against Tift County, ranked 6th in the state and 98th in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings, and dominated all four quarters.

Not lacking any offense, Colquitt gained 29 points in the first half compared to the Blue Devil’s 14.  After a 7-7 third quarter, the Packers put on a showcase in the final quarter, scoring 26 points and shutting out Tift to take the game 62-21.

Chase Parrish was on fire, completing 23 of 29 passes for a 79.3 completion percentage.  The junior threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns.  Parrish hit fellow junior Ty Lee seven times for 98 yards and a score.

On the ground, Sihiem King found the endzone twice on 19 carries for 86 yards.  King also reeled in four receptions for 103 yards and another score.

The defense was led by DeThemeyus Barge, who had 14 total tackles.  On top of that, three different players recovered fumbles to put the ball back in the offense’s hands.

This big win boosts Colquitt up a spot to 8th in the nation by DigitalSports.  The Packer’s final game of the regular season comes on November 7 against Camden County as they look to continue their undefeated season.

Key Players:

Chase Parrish- 23-of29, 314 yards, 2 TD

Sihiem King- 19 carries, 86 yards, 2 TD, 4 receptions, 103 yards, 1 TD
